A 47-year-old employee from the Carrington Care aged care facility in Sydney, Tracy Leah Salmon, has been charged with sexually assaulting seven elderly residents—five men and two women—and recording the abuse. The incidents allegedly occurred between 4 and 27 August 2024. NSW Police discovered videos of the assaults on Salmon’s phone, along with unrelated bestiality content, which she reportedly shared with her partner, Troy Campbell. Salmon faces multiple serious charges, including aggravated sexual assault and distributing intimate images without consent. She has been denied bail and is due to appear in court. Campbell was also charged with bestiality-related offenses and granted bail. Carrington Care expressed shock, confirmed Salmon stopped working there in November 2024, and pledged full cooperation with authorities, alongside launching an internal review. The case has deeply disturbed the community, highlighting the vulnerability of aged care residents and the urgent need for stronger safeguarding measures. Families of the victims have been informed and are receiving support. The investigation is ongoing. Support services like 1800RESPECT are available for anyone affected by abuse.
